Full Job Description

We're Hiring!

We are looking for a Associate Designer to join our dog-friendly office in La Jolla. Our firm fosters a supportive, team-focused culture that values collaboration and creativity. We are dedicated to providing long-term career growth, offering leadership opportunities, mentorship, and an inspiring work environment.

Join our team with these primary responsibilities:

Contribute to the creation of schematic design packages through to construction documents.
Assist with the preparation of presentations, drawings, boards and materials.
Assist with project permitting processing, submittals, reviews and approvals.
Assist project Team during construction phase services.
Perform as-built measurements, photo documentation and condition assessment of existing homes and structures.
Communicate and coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and building officials.
Availability to travel.

A qualified candidate will have…

A professional degree in Architecture, Bachelor's or higher, from an accredited architecture program.
Have 2 to 5 years of architectural experience.
Proficiency in AUTODESK Revit is required, and familiarity in AutoCAD.
Experience using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu.
Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
The ability to collaborate with a team and to work independently.
Reliable transportation.

Preference may be given to applicants with…

California Architecture License.
Additional studies/certification/degree in Historic Preservation.
Knowledge of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards.
Custom single-family residential experience.
