DIRECTOR OF TECHNOLOGY

POSITION PURPOSE

The Director of Technology exists to advance our mission by creating and leading a technology organization rooted in trust, accountability, innovation, service, and continuous improvement. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, servant leadership, operational excellence, digital transformation leadership, and a commitment to developing both systems and people.

This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP

Develop and execute a technology strategy that supports StoneAge’s long-term vision and operational goals.
Partner with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology can improve business performance, communication, scalability, and decision-making.
Lead the organization’s AI strategy, governance, and adoption efforts, ensuring AI capabilities are implemented responsibly, securely, and in alignment with business objectives.
Establish and champion enterprise data strategy, governance, quality standards, and accessibility to support business intelligence, analytics, and AI initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and thoughtfully recommend improvements that add measurable value.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION & BUSINESS ENABLEMENT

Lead enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, customer experience, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.
Partner with functional leaders to continuously improve business processes through technology, automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
Govern the technology portfolio and ensure investments, projects, and resources are aligned with strategic business priorities and measurable outcomes.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

Maintain executive accountability for technology operations, cybersecurity posture, risk management, compliance, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
Ensure technology systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational needs.
Lead technology projects with accountability to timelines, budgets, communication, and outcomes.
Manage vendor relationships and technology investments responsibly and strategically.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Technology, or Technology Management, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles responsible for technology strategy, team development, and enterprise-wide technology operations.
Experience leading organizations that include infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, data management, project management, and emerging technologies.
Strong understanding of enterprise technology systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, business applications, data governance, and integration architectures.
Working knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies, analytics platforms, automation tools, and modern digital transformation practices.
Proven ability to align technology initiatives and investments with measurable business outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop leaders and team members.
Experience managing budgets, vendors, and strategic technology initiatives.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, ERP systems, reporting platforms, and enterprise applications.

OTHER INFORMATION

Responsibilities may occasionally require work outside normal business hours to support operational or project needs.
Travel may be required.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
