Full Job Description

Now Hiring - RN Nurse Educator

Hospital System: Samaritan Healthcare is a locally owned and governed, community hospital and Level III Trauma facility. With a rapidly growing population, Moses Lake, Washington is now considered a regional healthcare facility.

**New Hospital built in 2026

Location: Moses Lake, WA

Position Details:

Salary Range - $115,315.20 to $144,144

Skill Set Preferred:

We are searching for a Nurse Educator. This role will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and delivering orientation and educational information to new and existing members of the nursing staff. Facilitate and teach certification classes for Healthcare Providers (ACLS, ACLS-OB, PALS, NRP, TNCC and ENPC). The individual in this position will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of Nurse Education along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The individual in this position reports to the Education Services Director. This position works closely with nursing managers, nursing staff, and education staff in order to support the development and maintenance of nursing skills through educational opportunities.

Skills/Competencies:

Demonstrates competent, current, general nursing skills.
Possesses working knowledge of training methodologies and practices, such as adult learning principles, needs analysis, and skills assessment.
Demonstrates competent training skills in a variety of settings, including classroom, one-on-one tutoring, on-the-job mentoring and instruction, etc.
Conceives and structures training programs and develops training materials for classroom and other forms of delivery.
Coordinates educational events efficiently and effectively.
Possesses communication skills (written, spoken and listening).
Demonstrates positive professional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in the use of software programs, such as Word and PowerPoint, and able to learn and use new software programs.
Organizes workload and manage systems to meet task requirements and deadlines.

Shift Details/Openings:

Hours: M-F, day shift

Other Benefits:

Relocation of up to $5,000, depending on current location
Retention Bonus after 1 year of employment

Ideal Candidates will Have:

WA state RN License
BSN required - MSN preferred
BLS (other certs may be required)
Instructor Status Preferred
Minimum 5 years nursing experience in acute care within the previous 7 years
Minimum 2 years of experience in conducting nursing education
**Some Family Birthing experience required
