Collect, convert, organize, and analyze geospatial data to support a variety of engineering, planning, and infrastructure projects.
Create high-quality maps, exhibits, and visualizations that help clients make informed decisions.
Prepare GIS project documentation, metadata, and maintain accurate spatial databases.
Collaborate with internal project teams and clients to understand project needs and deliver effective GIS solutions.
Assist with data management, quality control, and GIS workflow improvements.
Stay current with emerging GIS technologies, software, and best practices while continuously expanding your technical skills.
Work closely with senior GIS professionals who will provide mentorship and guidance as you develop your expertise.
Apply established GIS methods while gaining experience solving real-world geospatial challenges.
May assist in coordinating the work of GIS Technicians and Drafters on project tasks.
Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Cartography, or a related field.
0–3 years of GIS experience through professional, internship, or academic projects.
Experience using Esri's ArcGIS software suite.
Familiarity with database management concepts, including SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
Ability to interpret surveys, legal descriptions, construction plans, and aerial/orthophotography.
Understanding of mapping principles, coordinate systems, projections, and cartographic standards.
Ability to create accurate maps and other geospatial deliverables.
Basic understanding of programming concepts and GIS automation is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
