As a NAL Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing drill bits and supporting operations across regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, improve manufacturing processes, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions aligned with customer needs.

Creating drill bit designs and manufacturing packages using 3D modeling and data management systems

Supporting NAL Central & NE Operations by providing design expertise aligned with regional requirements

Interfacing with Product Line Management, Operations, Manufacturing, and Technology teams to improve product performance and efficiency

Engaging directly with customers to understand technical needs, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction

Documenting and sharing lessons learned across cross-functional teams

Supporting manufacturing teams with troubleshooting, problem solving, and issue resolution

Ensuring all work aligns with HSE, Quality, Legal compliance, and organizational cultural standards
To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college

Bring 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
-
Demonstrate experience working with 3D CAD systems
-
Have experience with simulation tools such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
-
Be capable of selecting appropriate engineering techniques, performing analysis, and making sound design recommendations

Possess knowledge of mechanical component design and applied engineering principles

Have the ability to drive adherence to product design standards and support continuous updates
-
Be capable of leading engineering projects with limited supervision

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills

Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional and global teams

Strong communication and technical presentation skills

Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
