Full Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Coordinator to oversee all aspects of our 8000 sq ft Event Center. This position is responsible not only for coordinating events but also for filling the calendar with high-quality bookings, acting in an outside-sales capacity to drive revenue and create a dynamic entertainment schedule.

The ideal candidate will have deep local knowledge, strong community ties, and experience booking a wide variety of events, including concerts, MMA fights, weddings, corporate functions, and more. You will manage every stage of the event process—from securing bookings and handling pricing agreements to menu planning, vendor coordination, and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Act as primary sales and booking representative for the Event Center.
Identify, pursue, and secure new event opportunities to fill the calendar with a mix of concerts, sporting events, weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, promoters, and the local community.
Prepare and negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements for all events.
Coordinate all event logistics, including menus, staffing, audiovisual requirements, vendors, and on-site execution.
Ensure events are delivered seamlessly and meet or exceed client expectations.
Track and report on sales, event performance, and revenue.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to promote events and maximize attendance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in event coordination, booking, or venue sales.
Proven experience in sales and outside event booking, ideally for a large venue or event center.
Strong knowledge of the Biloxi and Gulf Port market and established local business/community connections.
Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience with contract management, pricing, and event logistics.
Positive, energetic, and client-focused attitude.
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and special events as required.
