We are growing technology integration company based in Portland Oregon. Our focus is the physical integration of digital technology - "Where digital meets physical". We are a small team collaborating closely to do amazing things together.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technology Operations individual to oversee and manage the technical aspects of our event and retail brand experience activations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all technological systems and equipment function seamlessly to support our client’s brand goals. This role involves coordinating with various teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that technology enhances the overall experience for attendees.

***Travel required anywhere from 3 days a month to 3 weeks a month based on project needs. Installation days can be long hours and sometimes overnight to meet event schedules.

Responsibilities and Duties

Technical Planning and Implementation:
Develop and execute technology plans for events and retail activations.
Collaborate with event planners, designers, and clients to determine technical requirements and solutions.
Travel to site of activations to install and oversee the setup, operation, and teardown of technological systems and equipment.
Physical Labor and Equipment Use: Physically install and strike equipment in the shop and field. Use scissor lifts and ladders to reach high places
Equipment Management and QA:
Manage inventory of technological equipment, including audio/visual gear, interactive displays, and network systems.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, set up, thoroughly tested, and in working order before events.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide on-site technical support during events to quickly resolve any issues.
Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with hardware, software, and network systems.
Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
Coordinate with technology vendors and service providers to secure necessary equipment and services.
Communicate technical needs and expectations clearly to all stakeholders.
Technology Integration:
Integrate new technologies and solutions into event setups as needed.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in event tech and retail experiences.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document all technical processes and procedures.
Provide post-event reports on technology performance and issues encountered.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members to ensure a cohesive approach to event planning and execution.
Train and supervise technical staff or contractors as needed.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a technology operations or IT support role, preferably within the event or retail industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AV systems, network configurations, and interactive technology.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel nationally and internationally, work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
