Position Overview:

We are looking for a Quality Control Technician with a background in agriculture and/or soil science. In this position you will work individually as well as working with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies, and landscape architects.

What you’ll do:

Collect components for soil mixes
Create soil mixes and mail out samples to various labs for testing
Download test results and send to salesman
Post results on shared drive
Work through specs for upcoming jobs
Generate custom mixes for jobs
Use oven to dry out soils that need to be ran through sieve shaker
Sieve Shaker as well as calculating the gradation and generating a report
Weighing different materials
Working in the field as well in the quality control lab
Being in charge of all certifications for all certified products
Collaborate with other departments
Work with salesmen, managers, landscaping companies and landscape architects

Skills We Are Seeking::

Bachelor's degree required
Bachelor's in Soil Science Preferred
Knowledge in agriculture and/or soil science
Work individually or with a team
Lifting over 70 pounds
Use various lab equipment (pH meter/EC meter,Texture Analysis in house)
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds or more
