Full Job Description

Overview
Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech needed for an adult echo lab in Burlington, VT. This travel, temporary assignment starts 07/20/2026 for 4 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $2,324–$2,463. Shift is 5x8 days with no guaranteed hours. Work setting is hospital-based; duties include adult echocardiography across IP, OP, and ICU populations, with potential float to outpatient facilities and some call.

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient echo lab environment; may cover ICU and outpatient services; potential to float

Responsibilities

Perform adult echocardiography studies in the echo lab, with a daily minimum of 7–8 studies
Obtain high-quality images, optimize equipment settings, and document findings accurately
Enter study results and interpretations in the EPIC EMR and communicate with cardiology and ordering physicians
Provide imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and ICU patient populations; assist with procedure preparation and patient comfort
May float to an outpatient facility and may be required to participate in call coverage
Maintain patient safety, privacy, and infection control; ensure equipment is properly calibrated and maintained

Requirements

ARDCS (ARDMS or CCI) certification
AHA BLS certification
EKG recognition
Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, with adult echocardiography lab experience
EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
Ability to work with inpatient, outpatient, and ICU populations; willingness to work across a rotating schedule with weekend coverage as needed; no block scheduling
Reliable transportation is required due to limited public transit in the area
