Full Job Description

EDI Application Support
W2 hourly Contract Only
Contract length: 6 months
Pay rate: $55/hr
Location: Remote (must be local to Columbia, SC)
Overview
Seeking an experienced EDI Application Developer / Analyst to support and enhance healthcare EDI systems in a UNIX/Linux environment. This role involves EDI application support, troubleshooting, development, system enhancements, and customer issue resolution related to file submissions and report retrieval.
Responsibilities

Support existing EDI front-end and translator systems using ANSI X12/5010 standards.
Assist with implementation of new EDI solutions and system enhancements.
Troubleshoot issues within multi-tier distributed applications and databases.
Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain complex applications.
Work with business partners and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
Research and resolve customer issues related to EDI processing.
Perform system testing, debugging, documentation, and post-production support.
Provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed.

Required Qualifications

Experience with EDI (ANSI X12/5010).
Strong UNIX/Linux command-line and shell scripting skills.
Experience troubleshooting multi-tier application environments.
Proficiency in C/C++.
Strong SQL and database integration experience (Oracle or open-source databases).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Python
APIs, LDAP, and authentication technologies
AWS or cloud platforms
AI or automated testing experience
Healthcare or Medicare EDI experience

Environment
