Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, freedom-loving, and creative Social/YouTube-First Video Editor to join our innovative content team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw footage into compelling visual stories that captivate audiences and elevate brand messaging. Your expertise in video storytelling, post-production techniques, and visual effects will be instrumental in producing high-quality videos across various platforms. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your technical proficiency and artistic vision in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties

Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with project goals and brand standards
Apply color correction editing and color grading techniques to enhance visual appeal and consistency
Incorporate motion graphics, typography, and visual effects using software like Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Maya to add creative flair
Manage audio and video processing tasks, including sound editing, mixing, and synchronization for seamless storytelling
Collaborate with content creators, videographers, and designers to develop engaging narratives through video storytelling and visual storytelling techniques
Conduct lighting for video production to ensure optimal image quality during filming and post-production
Utilize content management systems (CMS) and FTP platforms for efficient file organization, storage, and sharing

Requirements

Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling ability and technical skill
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, and Capture One
Experience with Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer or other professional editing software is a plus
Strong understanding of audio and video processing techniques for post-production workflows
Knowledge of color correction editing, lighting for video production, and motion graphics creation
Familiarity with photography principles, videography techniques, and content creation best practices
Ability to manipulate photos through photo editing software for integrated multimedia projects
Technical proficiency in using content management systems (CMS), FTP platforms, and file organization tools
Excellent storytelling skills with an eye for detail in visual storytelling and graphic design elements
Experience with 3D animation (Maya), 2D animation (Adobe Animate), or Cinema 4D is desirable but not required
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative team
