Ice House America, LLC (IHA) is seeking a Vice President of Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain to help lead our growing and expanding organization. At IHA, customers, collaboration, innovation, accountability, and teamwork are at the forefront of our success.
OUR MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
IHA designs and manufactures ice and water vending equipment ranging from compact units to large freestanding machines. This is a low-volume, high-complexity, manufacturing environment rather than a traditional high volume assembly operation. Each machine requires coordinated fabrication and integration of structural components, refrigeration and ice-making systems, water treatment and plumbing, electrical systems and controls, payment technology, remote monitoring capabilities, branding, and customer-selected options. The operating model is similar to project-based manufacturing, where engineering, procurement, production, quality, parts, and fulfillment must work together from customer order through delivery and ongoing field support.
JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President of Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain will provide executive leadership for product and manufacturing engineering, manufacturing operations, production, procurement and strategic sourcing, supply chain, quality, parts, inventory, and fulfillment. This leader will own the operating and financial performance of the assigned business areas, including the budgeting, forecasting, cost management, capacity planning, production execution, quality, inventory, and on-time delivery.
The role will include a long-term product and technology roadmap. The leader will be responsible for product improvement, machine reliability, design for manufacturability and serviceability, new product introduction, value engineering, and the development of future manufacturing capabilities. At the same time, this executive must ensure that procurement, supplier performance, production, parts, and fulfillment operate as one connected value stream.
This executive will work cross-functionally with the CEO and executive leadership, finance, sales, vending operations, refurbishment, installation, customer service, and field service teams to improve customer outcomes, strengthen profitability, and support the company’s long-term growth strategy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own and manage the P&L for the assigned business areas, including budgeting, forecasting, labor and material cost, productivity, inventory, capital planning, and overall financial performance.
- Build and lead the product and manufacturing engineering organization, establishing clear priorities, technical ownership, development processes, and accountability for results.
- Lead product lifecycle management, including product improvements, new product introduction, design validation, value engineering, obsolescence planning, and future platform development.
- Drive design for manufacturability, assembly, quality, serviceability, reliability, and cost across existing and future machine platforms.
- Use warranty trends, service data, customer feedback, production issues, and field performance to identify root causes and prioritize engineering and product improvements.
- Lead the low-volume production model, including fabrication, assembly, systems integration, testing, capacity planning, scheduling, standard work, and on-time delivery.
- Develop and execute procurement and supplier strategies that improve cost, quality, lead time, availability, and supply continuity, including supplier selection, negotiation, development, and performance management.
- Align demand planning, purchasing, production schedules, inventory levels, parts availability, and finished-machine fulfillment with customer commitments and business demand.
- Establish and maintain quality systems and performance standards across engineering, suppliers, incoming materials, fabrication, assembly, testing, parts, and fulfillment.
- Improve ERP/MRP discipline, data accuracy, inventory controls, planning processes, and operational reporting to support scalable growth and sound decision-making.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, engineering execution, supplier performance, inventory, productivity, warranty, and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluate the current organization, systems, processes, equipment, and facility needs and develop a roadmap for improved efficiency, scalability, technical capability, and profitability.
- Lead teams through transformational initiatives, including process redesign, system implementation, product changes, supplier transitions, capacity expansion, and operational growth.
- Recruit, develop, coach, and retain strong leaders and technical talent while building succession plans across all assigned functions.

- Demonstrated success leading multiple functions and managing leaders across engineering, production, procurement, supply chain, quality, parts, and fulfillment.
- Experience in low-volume, high-mix, modular, or project-based manufacturing involving fabrication and systems integration.
- Strong experience leading product engineering, product improvement, new product introduction, design for manufacturability, engineering change control, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong P&L ownership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, capital planning, and financial performance accountability.
- Experience with production planning, inventory management, MRP/ERP systems, strategic sourcing, supplier management, fulfillment, quality systems, and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to improve product reliability, manufacturing performance, material cost, delivery, quality, and organizational capability.
- Ability to interpret financial, operational, engineering, quality, and field-performance data and convert insights into clear priorities and action plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, team-building, negotiation, and cross-functional influence skills.
- Demonstrated ability to balance day-to-day execution with long-term engineering, product, and operational strategy.
- Ability to operate with urgency and sound judgment in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
- Ability to travel as needed to support company operations, suppliers, customers, installations, and strategic initiatives.
