Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, expense reporting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting. The role works closely with senior leadership and outside accounting professionals, providing significant exposure to how a growing company manages its financial operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, intellectually curious, and eager to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with payroll administration and payroll reconciliations.
Review and process employee expense reports.
Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules.
Help maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting projects.
Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as requested.
Work with outside accounting firms and other financial service providers.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Support special projects and other finance initiatives as the company continues to grow.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
0–2 years of accounting experience, including internships.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
Desire to build a long-term career in accounting and finance.
