Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential patient care, support clinical staff, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for individuals across various care settings. Your enthusiasm for helping others and your attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional care and improving patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse environments such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and outpatient clinics.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Support clinical staff by preparing patients for examinations or procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care strategies and behavioral health support.
Administer medications and treatments under supervision in accordance with medical orders and HIPAA regulations.
Maintain detailed medical documentation, update patient records, and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as emergency medicine, ICU, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice care, and behavioral health to deliver comprehensive patient service.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
Experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, pediatric patients, or individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
Familiarity with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (BLS).
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers with acute or urgent care needs.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
