Junior Financial Advisor

Strategic Financial Group (SFG), a MassMutual firm serving Houston since 1903, is seeking a driven individual to join us as a Junior Financial Advisor. This role is built for early-career professionals ready to launch a long-term career in financial services through hands-on mentorship, real client exposure, and increasing autonomy as you grow.

The Opportunity

Structured Path to Growth: Our Junior Financial Advisor Development Program is designed specifically for early-career professionals — no prior industry experience required. Through formal training, weekly development sessions, and one-on-one mentorship, you'll build the foundation to grow into a full Financial Advisor.
Income Support & Performance Upside: A 2-year training stipend plus commission model supports your transition into the role while you build your book of business — so you have a stable foundation while your effort and results start to drive your income.
Client Ownership from Day One: Unlike many firms, you'll build and retain ownership of your client relationships from the start, establishing real long-term equity in the business you build.
Comprehensive Support: You're backed by a dedicated in-house team across marketing, financial planning, product solutions, and compliance — so you can stay focused on building relationships and delivering value to clients.
Collaborative Culture: A team-oriented environment where advisors are supported, challenged, and celebrated as they grow their careers.

Your Development Path

Formal training and weekly development sessions designed for early-career advisors
One-on-one mentorship from experienced advisors as you build your first client relationships
Sponsored licensing (State Life & Health, FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 66)
A defined 2-year runway to grow from Junior Financial Advisor into a full Financial Advisor

Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred
Willingness to obtain State Life & Health, FINRA SIE, Series 7, Series 66 licenses (full sponsorship provided)
Strong communicator, comfortable building relationships and clearly expressing ideas with clients and teammates
Coachable, self-motivated, and genuinely interested in helping others reach their goals
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
