Full Job Description

Job Summary ____________

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting; providing insights to optimize financial, programmatic, and operational decision making; supporting internal process improvement; and collaborating with other internal stakeholders to prepare the annual budget.

Duties and Responsibilities ______

1. Provides timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of the results of the division’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted, and strategic planning results to facilitate strategic decision making. These reports include but are not limited to monthly productivity and profit/loss reports.

2. Monitors budget variances monthly and communicates with operational leads to obtain variance explanations.

3. Contributes to monthly close process including journal entry preparation ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting.

4. Reviews ledger to ensure appropriate fund allocation for faculty and staff and prepares correcting entries as needed.

5. Communicates with accounting staff to ensure that revenue and expenses are captured properly.

6. Supports financial modeling to evaluate ROI for programmatic decisions including capital investment, faculty recruitment, and new site opening/acquisition.

7. Ensures private contracts and other revenue streams are properly monitored and reconciled on a monthly basis.

8. Prepare and submit purchase orders, contracts, change orders, invoices, check requests, petty cash vouchers, travel requests and travel vouchers, fund transfers and HRTS transactions as necessary.

9. Collaborates with cross-functional team members to produce annual budget.

10. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation in recurring workflows.

11. Assists with special projects and provides analytical support as needed.

12. Performs other related duties

Education Requirements ______

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics; Masters preferred.

Experience Requirements ____________

4+ years of experience in Finance or a related field

Licensing and Certification Requirements ____________

N/A

Computer Skills ____________

MS Office Suite (please check one): (basic)(intermediate)(advanced)

Other:

StrataJazz, and Tableau experience a plus

General Skills and Competencies

Demonstrated interest and experience in healthcare

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Familiarity with compiling financial reports reflecting financial status and operating procedures of organizations.

Very good written and oral communication skills

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Strong organizational and project management skills

Attention to detail
