KIT Consultants is a growing IT services company based in Royal Oak, Michigan. In 2002, KIT Consultants was started primarily as a web development firm, but over the year we have branched out to a wide variety of computer service and more recently search engine optimization. We are currently a small company looking to expand our client base and professional services. Web Developer/Designer

Job Description:

You will be responsible for all aspects of the website development process. From requirements gathering to the final coding and auditing. Please be prepared to show examples of current and past programming projects. Please rollover the below items to view more details.

Additional Skills:

Requirements: At least 1 year of professional experience developing production PHP/MySQL website's
Portfolio showing work that demonstrates PHP programming efforts
HTML/XHTML (including W3C standards)
CSS, Javascript,Flash/Flex experience
At least 2 year experience with Adobe Photoshop & Dreamweaver

Responsibilities: Working with project managers to establish reasonable project requirements, quotes, and timelines
Integration of existing site content with database-driven content management system
Development of secure administration consoles facilitating client site management
Ensure consistent styles and standards are maintained
Creation of reusable custom libraries, classes, and modules to streamline future development efforts

Additional Skills: Ability to organize, gather requirements, design, layout, and maintain a website; all aspects to web development
Advanced understanding of website accessibility, logical layout structures, and statistics
Ability to provide training to customers
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and server issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, Windows, Linux)
Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, and online portfolio displaying user-centered design
Knowledge of SEO principles and of implementation of those principles
Advanced knowledge of open source programs, such as blog's, CMS, CRM and E-Commerce
Experience with Magento E-commerce
