About D.A.R.E America

D.A.R.E America is a nationally recognized nonprofit that has been around since 1983; recently they made a major REVAMP: new focuses on mental health awareness, teen suicide prevention and community empowerment. Our outreach initiatives help educate young people and families on the dangers of substance abuse, including the growing fentanyl crisis affecting communities across California.

Overview

We are seeking motivated, professional and community-driven individuals to join our Bay Area outreach team as Brand Ambassadors.

Representatives will engage with the public at approved retail and community locations to raise awareness and support for programs focused on youth mental health, suicide prevention and fentanyl abuse prevention.

This role is for those individuals who are confident communicators, want to make a positive impact.

Typical salary range is $30,000 - $55,000 annually, individual rates will be discussed during the interview, at our office in Hayward, CA.

Responsibilities

Collect valuable data during interactions to inform marketing strategies and improve customer targeting
Manage donation platforms by sharing live updates, photos, videos, and engaging content to boost brand visibility online.
Assist in executing event marketing campaigns that attract new audiences and generate buzz around our products.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and creating positive experiences for all visitors.
Support fundraising efforts through direct engagement, and raise awareness surrounding fentanyl abuse, mental health and substance prevention.
Deliver compelling public speaking presentations to educate audiences about our brand values and product benefits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or customer-facing roles is highly desirable for understanding consumer needs and delivering excellent service
Strong data collection skills with attention to detail to accurately record feedback and engagement metrics.
Proven ability to drive sales through persuasive and professionalism.
Bilingual abilities are a plus for connecting with diverse communities effectively
Experience in event marketing or promotional activities enhances your ability to execute successful campaigns.
Excellent communication skills with confidence in public speaking settings
Knowledge of branding principles and marketing strategies to effectively represent the company’s image
Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
