Fulton Science Academy Private School is hiring a Front Desk Secretary / Admissions Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $52,000 – $58,000 per year
Term: 12 months

Fulton Science Academy Private School, a nationally recognized STEM institution serving gifted students, is seeking a dedicated and professional Front Desk Secretary / Admissions Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position is central to both the smooth daily operations of the school and the admissions process, supporting our mission of delivering rigorous and innovative STEAM education in a safe, welcoming environment.

Requirements

College degree is required.

Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk Secretary Duties

Monitor and respond to the school attendance email and voicemail; organize and document messages for attendance follow-up.
Answer and direct phone calls, providing information related to school activities, admissions, and general inquiries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date student attendance records in our SIS system; generate cumulative attendance reports and lead regular reviews with counselors and administration.
Greet and check in visitors and students via SchoolPass; ensure compliance with security procedures and authorized pickup lists.
Operate the front entry intercom system and assist in monitoring school safety through surveillance cameras.
Manage incoming mail and package distribution to staff.
Assist staff with color printing jobs and maintain inventory of basic office supplies.
Organize and distribute student uniforms and support students with uniform-related questions.
Substitute for the school nurse during lunch breaks or as needed.
Support school-wide events such as Open House, Admissions Assessments, and summer front desk coverage.
Use the intercom system for announcements and student check-outs.
Maintain documentation and issuance of student parking passes.
Handle financial transactions (cash, check, card) and maintain accurate receipt logs for the business office.

Admissions Assistant Duties

Welcome and assist prospective families during visits and admissions events, ensuring a positive first impression of the school.
Support the scheduling and coordination of student assessments, tours, and interviews.
Maintain communication with applicant families via phone and email, providing timely and accurate information throughout the admissions process.
Help organize and prepare materials for Open House and other admissions-related events.
Assist the Admissions Office with data entry and maintenance of application files in the admissions system.
Track and follow up on missing application components and support the processing of enrollment documentation.
Provide logistical and administrative support to the Admissions Director as needed.
