Gymboree Play & Music in Aiea is hiring Part-Time Toddler & Preschool Instructors!

At Gymboree, you’ll lead engaging parent-child classes and bring our on-the-go enrichment programs to local preschools.

About Us
Gymboree Play & Music is the world’s leading parent-child interactive play, music, and arts program for children ages newborn to five. Our classes help children develop social, physical, and cognitive skills through play, music, movement, and creativity.

Position Overview
This role is ideal for performers, educators, childcare professionals, or anyone who enjoys music, movement, and early childhood education. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing teacher who loves working with young children and families. In this role, you will lead fun, engaging classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers using Gymboree’s curriculum and equipment.

What a Typical Class Looks Like

Singing and leading group songs
Dancing, movement, and active play
Interacting with parents and children simultaneously
Setting up and cleaning equipment between classes
Performing in an energetic, animated teaching style

Responsibilities

Lead high-energy parent-child classes featuring songs, movement, and guided play activities
Facilitate play, music, and art activities using Gymboree lesson plans
Help maintain a clean, safe play environment and prepare equipment for classes
Create a welcoming and engaging environment for children and parents
Assist with birthday parties and other special events
Provide excellent customer service
Answer incoming calls, make outbound calls, greet and service customers

Qualifications

Experience working with children ages 0–5
Energetic, outgoing personality and comfortable performing
Enjoy singing, dancing, and being playful in front of families
Strong communication and customer service skills
Able to lift and move play equipment (up to ~25 lbs)
Reliable and flexible schedule
Weekend availability preferred

Hours of position

Part-time position (approximately 10–19 hours per week)
Classes held mornings, afternoons, and weekends
Flexible availability required

Pay

$18–$30 per hour (based on experience) + training provided

Gymboree Play & Music - Aiea is independently owned and operated by a franchisee. Your application will go directly to the franchisee, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of that franchise. Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
