VP of Advanced CNC Manufacturing - Foundational Partner & Executive

Company Overview We are a highly automated manufacturing technology company operating a fully uncrewed, lights-out, Tier-1 facility. As our founder transitions to developing our proprietary AI infrastructure and data pipelines, we are seeking an elite Manufacturing Architect to take complete ownership of our physical shop floor. We are looking for a foundational partner—a top 1% Applications Engineer who can optimize our multi-axis cell operations and drive our autonomous manufacturing vision.

Candidate Profile & Elite Requirements

Advanced Machining Strategy: Deep fluency in 5-axis kinematics, simultaneous contouring, and complex turn-mill synchronization. You engineer processes to completely eliminate secondary setups.
Aerospace Metallurgy & Aggressive Parameters: Proven expertise holding tight tolerances on tough alloys like 17-4 PH and 304 Stainless Steel.
Advanced Tooling Architecture: Deep mastery of insert grades and tooling optimization for lights-out reliability. You apply the exact right cermet inserts for flawless finishing and maximize MRR with indexable face mills.
Multi-Control Mastery: Fluency across FANUC, OSP, and Siemens architectures. You know how to unlock the advanced look-ahead, high-speed processing, and TCPC parameters unique to each control.
CAM Mastery & Complex Post-Processing: Elite-level programming fluency in Mastercam or Esprit. You manipulate the software to output flawless, synchronized code for complex architectures, including 14-axis machines utilizing twin lower turrets and an upper B-axis milling head.
Automated Part Handling: Extensive experience integrating and managing robot-loaded systems to ensure continuous operation and uninterrupted throughput without human intervention.
Lights-Out Logic: Elite command of custom macro programming, in-process spindle probing (Renishaw/Blum), redundant tooling logic, and dynamic tool-life management. You build bulletproof processes that survive unattended weekend runs without throwing alarms.
Workholding Architecture: Expertise in high-density zero-point fixturing and tombstone design. You know how to maximize pallet density and keep the spindle cutting.
Digital Twin Discipline: Uncompromising adherence to verifying 100% of multi-axis code through a kinematic digital twin prior to physical execution. You do not guess, and you do not crash.
Data-Driven Extreme Ownership: You operate with a founder's mentality and absolute accountability for spindle uptime. You are excited about extracting edge-compute data from the machines to help train future AI models.

Education & Experience:

7+ years Mastercam or Equivalent programming (Required).
Aerospace/AS9100 experience preferred.
CAMplete or Vericut experience preferred
Strong knowledge of 4-5 Axis Horizontal Mills, Mill-turns, Multi-tasking machines
Advanced GD&T knowledge (Required)
Strong ability working with stainless steel, inconel, titanium and other materials
Strong knowledge of CNC G-codes and M-codes.
Strong knowledge of Renishaw probing use.
Strong knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, OSP controls.

Performance Profit Sharing: Uncapped cash bonuses tied directly to the gross margin of the uncrewed night and weekend operations generated by your programming.
R&D Autonomy: A dedicated monthly budget for experimental tooling, workholding, and R&D to accelerate innovation from concept to spindle without management-of-change delays.
Sign-On Package: Transition assistance provided on Day 1 to offset unvested 401(k) contributions, lost bonuses, or relocation expenses.
