Junior Fashion Designer / Design Intern

About the Role
We are seeking a creative and highly organized Junior Fashion Designer or Design Intern to support the development of apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging designer looking to gain hands-on experience in concept development, trend research, and product design within a fast-paced creative environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and present mood boards, inspiration decks, and concept presentations
- Research fashion trends, color stories, fabrics, and emerging market directions
- Develop fashion illustrations, sketches, and design concepts
- Assist in garment design and collection development
- Support material, trim, and fabric sourcing
- Prepare technical sketches and design specifications
- Collaborate on seasonal color palettes and product storytelling
- Assist with sample reviews and design revisions
- Support creative projects across apparel, accessories, and lifestyle categories
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of color theory and trend forecasting
- Excellent mood board and visual presentation skills
- Ability to create fashion illustrations by hand and digitally
- Knowledge of garment construction and apparel design principles
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field of study preferred
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience designing handbags, small leather goods, or jewelry
- Knowledge of tech packs and production processes
- Experience with sourcing materials and trims
- Understanding of luxury, contemporary, or emerging designer markets
