Full Job Description

Job Summary

DentCare Now is an emergency-first, fee-for-service dental organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care while building a scalable platform for growth. We are currently operating one successful location in Fairfax, VA, with plans to expand through acquisitions and additional locations.

This position is ideal for an experienced dental operations leader who is ready to move beyond managing a single practice and help build the operational foundation of a growing multi-location organization.

While this role has the opportunity to evolve into a senior executive leadership position as the company grows, we are seeking a **Director of Operations** to partner directly with ownership in building the systems, people, and processes that will support our long-term vision.

What You'll Do

* Partner directly with ownership to execute operational initiatives and growth strategies.

* Develop, document, and implement scalable SOPs and operational systems.

* Improve scheduling efficiency, patient flow, and operational performance.

* Build accountability through KPIs, reporting, and performance management.

* Develop leadership infrastructure and oversee location management functions.

* Lead recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and team development initiatives.

* Support implementation and growth of the Elite Protection Plan (EPP) membership program.

* Manage vendors, operational projects, and continuous process improvement.

* Prepare the organization for future acquisitions and multi-location expansion.

Within your first 12 months, you will:

* Create repeatable systems that reduce dependency on individual team members.

* Improve operational consistency and accountability across departments.

* Strengthen leadership development and team performance.

* Establish the operational foundation needed for future acquisitions.

* Help position the organization for scalable multi-location growth.

* Allow ownership to focus on strategic growth rather than day-to-day operations.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

* Minimum of 5 years of operations leadership experience.

* Experience managing dental practice operations.

* Experience developing systems, SOPs, and operational infrastructure.

* Strong financial acumen and KPI management experience.

* Proven ability to lead teams, improve performance, and drive accountability.

* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Multi-location dental management experience.

* Experience with Dental Service Organizations (DSOs).

* Regional Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or multi-site leadership experience.

* Experience opening, acquiring, or integrating dental practices.

* MBA, MHA, or PMP certification.

Ideal Background

Candidates without dental experience should demonstrate a strong track record of leading teams, building scalable systems, improving operational performance, and managing multi-location organizations.
