About FCCGW

The Family Counseling Center of Greater Washington (FCCGW) is a nonprofit behavioral health organization dedicated to providing culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health services to Asian American individuals and families. Our multidisciplinary team delivers counseling, psychiatric services, prevention programs, and community education to promote emotional wellness and reduce barriers to care.

Position Summary

The Clinic Coordinator is the first point of contact for clients seeking behavioral health services and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the counseling clinic. This position coordinates client scheduling, referrals, intake processes, administrative operations, communications, and program support while maintaining exceptional customer service and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced nonprofit healthcare environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Care Coordination

Coordinate new client intakes and schedule counseling and psychiatric appointments.

Manage appointment calendars and confirm upcoming appointments.

Follow up with missed appointments and assist with rescheduling.

Conduct initial phone screenings and collect client information.

Administer intake, outcome, and client satisfaction assessments.

Educate clients about available behavioral health and community resources.

Coordinate referrals to internal and external behavioral health providers.

Clinic Operations

Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and client inquiries.

Maintain accurate electronic client records and documentation.

Verify client eligibility, insurance information, and required authorizations when applicable.

Support clinicians with administrative requests, reports, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, and organizational policies.

Program & Administrative Support

Assist with data collection and reporting for grants and contracts.

Support community mental health workshops, outreach events, and educational programs.

Develop and update promotional flyers, brochures, newsletters, and other communication materials as needed.

Assist with media outreach, website updates, social media content, and other marketing and communications projects to promote FCCGW programs, fundraising events, and community initiatives.

Collaborate with program staff across counseling, youth, senior, and community outreach programs.

Assist leadership with daily clinic operations and administrative projects.

Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

QualificationsRequired

Fluent in both Korean and English (spoken and written) is required.

High School diploma or equivalent. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is a plus.

Minimum two years of administrative, healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit experience.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Experience in a behavioral health, counseling, medical, or nonprofit setting.

Experience with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software.

Experience creating promotional materials, newsletters, social media content, or marketing communications.

Bilingual in Korean and English strongly preferred.

Knowledge of community behavioral health resources.
