New Day Home Care is Warren County's trusted, private-pay home care agency. We provide compassionate, professional non-medical care for seniors who want to live safely and independently at home. The Role

New Day Home Care is hiring Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to seniors in their own homes throughout Warren County — including Hackettstown, Washington, Belvidere, Blairstown, and surrounding communities. As a CHHA, you'll help clients stay safe, independent, and dignified at home, while becoming a trusted, familiar face in their daily lives.

We prioritize caregiver consistency — you'll be matched to clients based on personality, schedule, and care needs, so you build real relationships instead of being shuffled between random shifts.

What You'll Do

- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

- Provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errand assistance.

- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.

- Monitor and report changes in a client's condition, behavior, or home environment to the care coordination team.

- Assist with medication reminders (not administration).

- Provide transportation to appointments or errands when needed (valid license and clean driving record required).

- Follow each client's individualized care plan with attention to their preferences, routines, and dignity.

- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the New Day office team.

- Use our Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) system to clock in/out of every visit.

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Active New Jersey CHHA certification (NJ Board of Nursing credential).

- Ability to pass an NJ State Police fingerprint background check.

- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients throughout Warren County.

- Strong communication skills and a genuine, compassionate approach to caring for seniors.

- Punctual and dependable — our clients and families count on consistency.

- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients as needed for personal care tasks.

Preferred:

- Prior experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's care.

- Experience with hospital-to-home transition care.

- CPR/First Aid certification.
