Full Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW: Life Sharing is a unique and rewarding opportunity to open your heart and home to an individual with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. As a Life Sharing Provider, you will welcome an individual into your household, fostering a family-like environment where they can live, grow, and thrive. This role involves providing personalized care, emotional support, and assistance with daily living activities. The Life Sharing Provider has access to 24/7 supervisory support should an emergency, concern, or question

JOB DUTIES:

· Ensure the home is clean, safe, and accessible at all times

· Create a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere

· Provide a private, comfortable, and personalized living space for the individual

· Assist with personal care as needed (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)

· Prepare nutritious meals and follow recommended diets

· Administer and manage medications as needed

· Support personal hygiene and overall health maintenance

· Encourage the development of life skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting)

· Facilitate participation in community events, recreational activities, and social events.

· Accompany individual to medical, dental, and therapeutic appointments

· Maintain open communication with the individuals’ support team

· Complete and submit all required documentation

· Participate in initial and ongoing training sessions mandated by the organization and regulatory agencies

· Respect confidentiality and uphold the privacy of rights of the individual.

· Comply with all organizational policies and state/federal regulations regarding Life Sharing

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be a legal resident of Pennsylvania

· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

· Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

· Ability to pass required background checks

· Compassionate, dependable and committed to supporting others

· Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

· Vacant bedroom meeting the needs of an individual available in the home

· Ability to successfully complete a 6500 Self-Inspection/Licensing in order to provide service.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $2,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month
