Graphic Artist

Location: Avion Graphics
Position Type: Full-Time

About the Position

Avion Graphics is seeking an experienced and creative Graphic Artist to join our fast-paced production and design environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong graphic design, prepress, and wide-format printing experience who can manage daily operations while maintaining exceptional quality standards. This position will primarily support the Transportation Division with occasional support to the Aviation Division.

Responsibilities

Manage and lead the Art Department's daily workflow and production schedule.
Create, prepare, and troubleshoot artwork for print production.
Operate and oversee wide-format printing equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printers and production equipment.
Manage inventory and order all required materials, inks, and production supplies.
Ensure color accuracy, print quality, and production efficiency.
Coordinate projects between sales, design, and production teams.
Maintain organized digital file structures and production records.
Meet deadlines and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat).
Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW highly desired.
Experience with RIP software and print workflow management.
Experience with Computer Cut and Graphtec cutting systems.
Knowledge of wide-format printing equipment and production processes.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Experience Requirements

Prior experience in the printing, graphics, signage, or wide-format print industry is required.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.
