Full Job Description

Staff Development Coordinator RN/ Infection Control Nurse

Hillside Nursing Center in Wake Forest, NC is a 150-bed center facility a variety of individualized, health care services for our patients and residents. We are looking for a qualified and committed RN to join our team.

A Strong candidate will ensure the facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing, education, and competencies and infection control.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conducts new employee orientation and coordinates competency evaluations.
Ensures for or delivers annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to state and federal regulations and company policy.
Oversees employee health program (immunizations, flu shots, covid testing, etc.)
Monitors and ensures current licensure and certifications of facility staff.
Maintains employee education, training and health files.
Coordinates, schedules and directs in-house in-services for all staff.
Assist in the screening and hiring of nursing staff.
Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
Assists other Nursing Management Team as directed by the Director of Nursing in reviewing incident reports
Works as charge nurse and/or supervisor as needed in nursing emergencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

One to three (1-3) years experience in health care field, teaching, or training and development.
Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing with a current, valid RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
CPR certified yearly
Ability to teach, instruct and direct orientation, continuing education, and in-services.
Read, know, and follow personnel, department and facility procedures, and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
