Data Quality Analyst

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our data management team. This role requires a candidate with a strong SQL background, hands-on experience with regression testing, and expertise in test automation to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of enterprise data. The ideal candidate will have experience validating complex datasets, developing automated testing frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve data quality across multiple systems.
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in designing automated validation processes, identifying data issues, and ensuring data quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated data quality testing frameworks to proactively identify data quality issues.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness across multiple data sources.
- Write complex SQL queries for data validation, profiling, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
- Develop and execute comprehensive regression test plans to ensure data integrity following application and database changes.
- Create, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for data validation and regression testing.
- Perform manual and automated testing of ETL processes, APIs, databases, and reporting solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to resolve data quality issues and improve testing processes.
- Design and maintain data quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting using tools such as Tableau.
- Utilize ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend to validate data movement and transformation logic.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and data discrepancies through detailed analysis of large datasets.
- Support Agile development teams by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and testing activities.
- Contribute to data governance initiatives by establishing and maintaining data quality standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior team members on SQL development, testing methodologies, and data quality best practices.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL expertise is required, including writing complex joins, CTEs, stored procedures, window functions, aggregations, and performance optimization.
- Extensive experience with regression testing for databases, ETL pipelines, and enterprise applications.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and automated test scripts.
- Experience validating data across databases, APIs, ETL pipelines, and reporting environments.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems, including Oracle or similar relational databases.
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages to support automation and data validation.
- Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, SSIS, or similar platforms.
- Experience creating dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, data modeling, and database design.
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies is preferred.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Experience with data governance, data quality frameworks, and master data management is a plus.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
