Full Job Description

Immediate need for a talented Conversational AI Developer. This is a 12 month contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Phoenix, AZ / Charlotte, NC(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $50/hr - $55/hr. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop XR applications using OpenXR (end-to-end: architecture, implementation, testing, and iteration).
Build interactive features such as:
Input handling (controllers, hands, action sets, haptics) Scene/interaction systems (grabbing, ray interactions, UI in 3D) Rendering and performance optimizations (frame pacing, latency-sensitive updates) Integrate platform/runtime features where applicable (tracking spaces, anchor-like constructs, passthrough/scene understanding if available via extensions).
Create clean, testable code and contribute to basic CI/build scripts as needed.
Debug runtime/device issues (graphics, tracking, input) and provide clear repro steps and fixes.
Collaborate with product/UX and engineering stakeholders; document designs and tradeoffs.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

Key skills: Python, Reactive Programming, MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS), Spring / Spring Boot.
6–8 years of strong experience in Java development, including proficiency in Spring / Spring Boot.
4–5 years of experience with Python, focused on backend or data-driven development.
Deep understanding of Reactive Programming (WebFlux, etc.)
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for event-driven architectures.
Experience with Flink for stream processing and data pipelines.
Proficiency in Redis for caching and performance optimization.
Database expertise in both MongoDB (NoSQL) and Oracle (RDBMS).
Strong experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
GraphQL knowledge is good to have but not mandatory.
AI / Conversational Platform Exposure
Good understanding of Google Dialogflow CX or similar conversational AI frameworks.
Exposure to LLM (Large Language Models), agentic architectures, and prompt engineering concepts.
Familiarity with ADK (Agent Development Kit), Playbook, or similar agentic frameworks.
Conceptual understanding of machine learning fundamentals and model telemetry.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native environments (OCP, Kubernetes, etc.).
Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Prior experience in banking, fintech, or digital assistant platforms is an advantage.
