Full Job Description

Position Overview: This position is onsite at our Pompano Beach, FL office/warehouse. We are in search of a college or graduate student with the right combination of initiative, organizational and skills, and enthusiasm, to help us grow. During the internship period the intern will be exposed to many aspects of the business such as Procurement, Sales and Customer Service, Planning, Quality Assurance, Shipping and Warehousing, Logistics, Materials Management, and Finance. The key focus and learning area will be to assist with documentation, improvement, and implementation across all areas of the business.

Essential Competencies

· Ability to effectively communicate with executive management

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· Exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills

· Ability to act independently with minimal supervision

· Ability to build relationships and work well across functions

· Must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills to meet deadlines

· Understanding of business processes and basic corporate finance, management, and accounting principles

· Demonstrates a strong attention to detail

· Demonstrates the capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled

· Communicates a "can do" attitude and positive outlook, minimizing negative behaviors

Essential Skills

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Access, MS Project)

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data sorting, filtering, formulas, pivot tables, charts, and basic data analysis.

· Basic experience with relational databases, SQL, or Microsoft T-SQL is preferred.)

· Technologically savvy

· Excellent writing and editorial skills

· Strong process improvement skills

· Excellent relationships management skills with the ability to recognize workload imbalances as they occur and take necessary steps of resolve as required

· Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma methodology a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
