Apply Your Scientific Knowledge Outside the Laboratory

OPS Diagnostics is seeking a highly organized Scientific Marketing Intern (Biotechnology) to work directly with senior management on scientific marketing, product development, and business development initiatives.

This internship is ideal for a recent graduate who enjoys science, technical writing, organization, and learning how biotechnology products are developed and commercialized.

This is not a traditional marketing internship. Instead, you'll help organize scientific information and transform complex technical concepts into professional sales and marketing materials used by biotechnology companies, researchers, universities, and diagnostic manufacturers worldwide.

Work Directly with Senior Management

Unlike internships at large organizations, you'll work directly with senior management on projects that influence product development, marketing strategy, and business growth. This is a highly visible position where your work will have an immediate impact.

As part of a growing biotechnology company, you'll gain exposure to research, manufacturing, customer support, product development, scientific communications, and business development.

Primary Responsibilities

Organize scientific and technical information from multiple sources.
Research scientific literature and emerging technologies.
Write and edit brochures, application notes, website content, product literature, and technical documents.
Assist with product launches and scientific marketing initiatives.
Organize projects and provide progress updates to management.
Collaborate with research, manufacturing, customer support, and business development teams.
Assist with website development, SEO, and AI-assisted content creation.
Help identify new applications and markets for biotechnology products.

Required Qualifications

A degree in the life sciences is REQUIRED.

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in one of the following or a closely related discipline:

Biology
Molecular Biology
Microbiology
Biotechnology
Biochemistry
Genetics
Cell Biology
Biomedical Sciences
Other Life Science discipline

Applicants without a life science degree or equivalent educational background will not be considered.

The successful candidate will also possess:

Excellent organizational skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Outstanding written communication skills.
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and online research tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Self-motivation and excellent time-management skills.
Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Laboratory or research experience.
Experience writing scientific reports or publications.
Interest in biotechnology, diagnostics, molecular biology, or life science products.
Experience with website content management, graphic design, or AI-assisted writing tools is a plus.
