Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst III to support a fast-paced finance and accounting team within a large industrial/energy environment. This position is responsible for financial analysis, general ledger support, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, audit support, and financial systems administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, reports, reconciliations, and journal entries
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Assist with financial audits and compliance processes
Analyze accounting trends, budget variances, and financial data
Maintain and reconcile project and facility ledgers
Support financial systems administration including general ledger and online journal entry systems
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, depreciation, overhead allocations, and cost monitoring
Conduct research and analysis related to taxes, inventory, asset management, and other financial matters
Develop and maintain accounting procedures and financial documentation
Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with accounting emphasis required
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Experience with month-end/year-end close processes
Experience supporting financial audits and compliance activities
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced computer and financial systems skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of an organization

Preferred Experience:

Experience with large corporate, utility, industrial, manufacturing, or energy environments
Familiarity with budgeting, cost accounting, fixed assets, and financial analysis
Knowledge of governmental or regulated accounting environments is a plus
