About the Role

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to help manage inventory operations inside the store.

This role is responsible for keeping inventory accurate, organized, processed, and ready for sale. The Inventory Controller helps receive deliveries, process products, maintain inventory records, support the sales floor, and communicate inventory needs to leadership.

Inventory is a major part of the success of the store. The right person for this role understands that inventory is not just about counting products. It is about ownership, accuracy, communication, and follow-through.

What You’ll Do

As the Inventory Controller, you will:

Receive, verify, and process product deliveries
Review invoices, manifests, and physical product for accuracy
Identify and communicate shortages, damages, pricing issues, or product concerns
Sticker, price, organize, and prepare products for sale
Maintain clean, organized, and secure inventory areas
Help move products from the back of house to the sales floor quickly and accurately
Support product displays and merchandising updates
Communicate new products and product availability to the sales team
Help track aging inventory, vendor credits, returns, damages, and shortages
Maintain organized inventory records and documentation
Support inventory audits and discrepancy research
Follow all company policies, SOPs, and compliance requirements
Work with leadership to improve inventory processes and store operations

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

Organized and detail-oriented
Reliable and punctual
Comfortable working with systems, spreadsheets, invoices, and records
Good at following procedures
Able to work independently
Calm under pressure
Strong at communicating with managers, vendors, and teammates
Serious about compliance and accuracy
Willing to support the sales floor when needed
Interested in growing with the company

Preferred Experience

Preferred experience includes:

Cannabis retail experience
Inventory, warehouse, receiving, or retail operations experience
Experience processing deliveries or reviewing invoices
Experience using POS or inventory management systems
Experience working with spreadsheets, logs, or digital records
Vendor communication experience

Cannabis experience is helpful, but not required for the right candidate with strong inventory or operations experience.

Requirements

Applicants must be able to:

Meet all legal requirements to work in a licensed cannabis retail environment
Pass any required background check, badging, or licensing process
Work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed
Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as required for inventory work
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Follow company policies, SOPs, and compliance standards
