TBC Metalworks is a contract tube bending company. Our customers say tube is a four letter word and we know why. Contract tube bending is mentally tough, but highly rewarding when you figure out how to bend a particular tube the way you want it. This job involves bending a very high variety of tubes to as many ways as engineers can create.
If you have made it this far reading, we might be a good match. The type of person we are looking for must be smart (you will be calculating bend points and dimensions each day), patient (when things don’t work how you think they should, you must remain calm, pull a few other team members together to discuss potential solutions), and have a great attitude most of the time (people have to want to work with you, but we know everyone gets frustrated sometimes).
TBC Metalworks is growing our team and looking for the right person to join us. We are a rapidly growing tube and pipe fabrication company with an awesome small team. We do not have time for drama queens or other jackass behaviors. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, show up to work on time, give a crap about what you are making and help us improve processes to make your job easier. Our style is laid back and there won't be any micromanaging here, expectations are set and off you go to complete the task.
Day-to-day operations will include operating machines around the facility and filling in to departments when needed. This position is one of the most valuable positions we offer, you are involved in all areas of production. A few of the other tasks include reading engineering prints, then calculating the numbers you need for bending, enter data into the bending machine, using calipers and tape measures. Ideal candidate should be self motivated and able to be an independent and team worker.
We work four ten-hour days 5am to 3:30pm. We strive for a good work/life balance so overtime is minimum unless necessary.
Duties/Qualifications
- Cut and bend tube and pipe products as they are assigned on various tube bending and rolling machines
- Lift up to 75 lbs
- Understand basic geometry, know how to read a measuring tape and read engineering drawings. We are happy to train you as long as you are intelligent enough to learn it.
- Be an awesome person to work with
- Show up when you are scheduled to work
- You get bonus points and higher pay if you can also MIG and/or TIG weld.
