Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Designer, Draftsman, or Landscape Architect to join our innovative design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of historic and private residential landscape projects, combining creative vision with technical expertise. You will work closely with senior designers and to develop compelling visualizations, detailed drawings, and sustainable landscape solutions that enhance communities and environments. This paid position is ideal for individuals eager to grow their skills in landscape architecture, and design software while making a tangible impact through their work.

Duties

Assist in creating detailed 2D and 3D landscape plans using AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD-based software.
Develop conceptual sketches, hand-drawn illustrations, and freehand sketches to communicate design ideas effectively.
Use SketchUp, and rendering software like Adobe Photoshop to produce high-quality visual presentations.
Support project teams with site analysis including land surveying, land use planning, and GIS data integration.
Contribute to sustainable design initiatives by incorporating eco-friendly practices such as irrigation planning, landscaping techniques, and hardscape detailing.
Prepare construction documents, estimates, and specifications for landscape projects while ensuring compliance with local codes and standards.
Participate in site visits for landscape maintenance assessments, construction progress monitoring, and project management activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience or strong foundational knowledge in landscape architecture or civil engineering design; internship experience is a plus.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS/ArcView, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), SketchUp, and other relevant CAD or 3D modeling software.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients clearly and professionally.
