Full Job Description

KLF is a busy immigration law firm located in Kew Gardens, Queens. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our firm and supervise a team of approximately 20 employees.

The ideal candidate has experience managing a law firm, medical practice, dental practice, or similar professional services organization and is highly organized, results-driven, and skilled at improving accountability, productivity, efficiency, and overall team performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm and supervise a team of approximately 20 employees.
Monitor employee productivity, attendance, accountability, and overall performance.
Conduct staff meetings, employee evaluations, coaching, and performance reviews.
Coordinate workflow between departments and ensure tasks and deadlines are met.
Implement and enforce office policies, procedures, and performance standards.
Identify operational inefficiencies, workflow bottlenecks, and performance issues and implement solutions.
Review employee schedules, PTO requests, staffing needs, and operational coverage.
Address employee concerns and workplace issues professionally and effectively.
Monitor firm performance metrics and provide regular reporting to ownership.
Serve as a liaison between staff, clients, attorneys, and ownership while helping maintain a professional, productive, and client-focused work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of management experience.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Experience supervising teams of 10+ employees.
Experience managing a law firm, medical practice, dental practice, or similar professional services organization.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent management experience.
Formal training in management, operations, leadership, human resources, or process improvement is a strong plus.
Proven ability to improve accountability, productivity, and operational performance.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent judgment, professionalism, initiative, and follow-through.
