About us:

BreatheSafe is a proud Australian and US based company that strives to develop, manufacture and sell world leading dust control and air quality solutions to any industry that is exposed to dust or airborne contaminant, both locally and internationally. As part of our exciting growth plans, we’re looking for an Engineering Lead – Operations & OEM to join our team in Janesville, WI.

About the Role:
This is a hands on engineering position suited to someone who enjoys taking products from concept through to production while working closely with manufacturing, suppliers, customers and OEM partners.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will contribute to the design, development, validation and continuous improvement of our products while supporting technical projects across our global operations.

You will play an important role in solving engineering challenges, improving manufacturability, supporting product releases and providing technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Engineering

Design, develop, validate, and continuously improve mechanical systems, injection moulded products, fabricated components, and engineered solutions from concept through to production.
Produce and maintain engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering documentation, and revision control in accordance with company standards.
Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to improve product performance, manufacturability, quality, and cost effectiveness.
Support new product development activities including prototyping, testing, validation, product release, and engineering change management.
Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve manufacturing challenges, investigate product quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, manufacturing efficiency, operational excellence, and cost reduction.
Work closely with the global engineering team to maintain consistency in engineering standards, documentation, and design practices across regions.
Provide technical input into project planning, including engineering scope, timelines, technical risks, and project requirements.
Coordinate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, operations, and leadership teams to deliver successful engineering outcomes.
Act as a technical resource for OEM partners, customers, and distributors by managing technical enquiries, troubleshooting product issues, supporting installations, and providing engineering guidance.
Support customer meetings, site visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations, while gathering customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvements and future development.
Collaborate with commercial and engineering teams to deliver practical technical solutions that support customer success and strengthen OEM partnerships.

About You:

This role is ideal for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder engagement and operational improvement.

You will bring:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in mechanical product design and development.
Strong expertise in CAD software and engineering design tools.
Experience working with manufacturing, production, quality, and engineering documentation.
Strong technical problem solving and analytical capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting customers, distributors, OEMs, or technical partners.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and regions.
A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive outcomes without direct authority.
