Mission

To support the Executive Chef in delivering an exceptional dining experience to all of The Hill at Whitemarsh’s residents that exceeds their expectations by prepping and preparing consistently high-quality menu items based upon documented and established recipes and meal production guidelines that are attractively plated in a timely and safe manner.

JOB SUMMARY

The overall objective and purpose of the Cook 3 / Culinary Supervisor position is to assist the Sous Chef with the preparation, flavoring, and cooking process for daily specials and menu creations. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the supervision of all kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and The Hill at Whitemarsh standards are met. They are to provide inspiring and strategic leadership while directing the activities of the outlets in support of the mission, core values, standards, and goals established by the company.

CORE RESPONSIBILITY

1. Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

2. Meets or exceeds industry standards for the preparation, serving, and storing of food.

3. Prepares meals according to recipe in a regular and consistent manner.

4. Ensure that food preparation is completed as assigned

5. Implements departmental safety rules and regulations, including the property handling of all relevant equipment and machinery.

6. Ensures all recipes are followed exactly and consistently.

7. Monitors inventory on a daily basis to ensure proper levels and quality

8. Maintains kitchen cleanliness and organization by following safety standards.

9. Completes daily walkthroughs of kitchen area.

10. Executes all assigned, daily pre-meal and post meal production activities in a timely and accurate manner consistent with daily production sheets and kitchen policies to insure sufficient quantities of ingredients are available for a smooth and high quality service

11. Can work all stations on their assigned shift

12. Supervises others while performing core responsibilities

13. Assists the Sous Chef with menu creation and daily specials.

14. Assist the Sous Chef with developing and coaching staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Culinary degree Preferred or Related training equivalent in the Hospitality/Restaurant Industry required

· 4+ years of relevant work experience in similar scope and title - required

· Experience within luxury brand/markets - preferred

· Food Safety Manager Certification - preferred or attained within 6 months

· Pass cooking test per department standards
