Latitude Legal is seeking California-licensed Litigation Attorneys with prior deposition experience to support a nationally recognized law firm's large-scale deposition project on a part-time (3 days per week) engagement basis. This is a fully remote role, and candidates may be located anywhere in the United States, provided they are available during West Coast business hours. This engagement is designed for litigators who are comfortable taking and defending depositions independently on a high-volume construction matter. Prior construction experience is helpful but not required. The project is expected to begin near the end of this month and will involve approximately 400 depositions in total, and last approximately 2-3 months.
What You’ll Do Includes:
-
Take and defend depositions in a large-scale construction defect matter; it is anticipated that candidates will conduct 3 depositions per day, 3 days per week, with the option to add any additional days when internal attorneys are unavailable.
-
Prepare for and conduct fully remote depositions independently via Microsoft Teams, including review of case materials, prior discovery, and coordination with the litigation team.
-
Work closely with the office's Managing Attorney and client teams to ensure consistent deposition strategy and execution.
-
Provide limited additional litigation support as needed (e.g., discovery follow-up, deposition summaries, or targeted research), with depositions remaining the primary responsibility.
-
Manage workload efficiently in a fully remote environment, maintaining professionalism, organization, and responsiveness throughout the engagement.
Who You Are:
-
California-licensed litigation attorney with prior experience conducting civil litigation depositions; comfort running depositions independently is essential.
-
Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for virtual depositions; no additional specialized skills required.
-
Construction defect or insurance defense experience is a plus, but not required.
-
Open to attorneys at a range of experience levels; no team leadership responsibilities are required for this role.
-
Organized, professional, and comfortable working full-time or part-time on a high-volume, time-bound project.
-
Available during West Coast business hours and comfortable working fully remotely.

-
J.D. from an accredited law school.
