Job Type: Paid Fellowship

Compensation: $25/hr plus up to $500/month home office expense reimbursement

Time commitment: Full-time, 6 month fellowshipLocation: Remote

About the Position

The Video Production Fellow will focus on pre-production and production support across the organization. This position is perfect for an individual with entry-level video production experience, an interest in producing digital videos, strong time management and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Core Responsibilities:

Assist Video Producers and the Production Management team with the creation of longform videos
Assist Producers on research, outreach to experts and interviewees, securing locations and other shoot materials
Coordinate and communicate information about shoots, including technical specifications and schedules between MPU production staff and videographers
Helping track footage and production assets after shoots, liaising with Videographers for any missing assets
Assisting Video Editors in organizing and reviewing footage
Creating interview transcripts and helping identify strong soundbites for producers
Pulling video clips, news headlines, images and other media for scripts
Performing administrative duties
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

Experience on digital video productions;
Basic camera knowledge;
Experience with Adobe Premiere desired;
Documentary, journalism, and/or political experience;
Producing, scripting, research or development experience a plus;
Familiarity with national politics and labor issues;
A passion for economic justice and workers rights;
Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette and exceptional interpersonal communication skills;
Studied or currently studying in journalism, communications, film, marketing, public relations or related field;
Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote/work from home environment;
