Full Job Description

Job Description
What's it like to work for the Battery Technology Center (BTC)? We are a small group of engineers, engineering technologists, technicians, and additional support staff dedicated to delivering for our customers on a variety of power solutions projects.
The Logistics Analyst II position will require the following key duties:

Receive and respond to requests for purchasing materials, including writing, submitting, tracking, monitoring and controlling purchase requests and collating all associated documentation to support the purchasing process
Act as primary liaison for tracking all on-going materials requests for the program, including providing status updates and proper documentation, as needed
Develop a strong understanding of the purchasing process, including coordinating with the corporate buyer personnel to adequately plan for upcoming purchase requests
Identify and analyze trends in material use and needs and provide recommendations for material purchases, particularly for electrochemical cells/batteries
Monitor and control internal/external calibration services for all test equipment, e.g. environmental chambers, test equipment, etc., including maintaining accurate internal/external calibration records, scheduling routine system maintenance efforts for equipment, and escorting calibration technicians while on-site, as needed
Provide inventory database management support for all government-furnished materials and equipment (GFM/GFE), including accurate logging/tracking/issuing materials in support of various customer projects
Provide warehouse storage support for all government materials, including proper storage and labeling of all materials
Coordinate with the test and engineering managers to make recommendations for disposal and/or replacement of GFM/GFE
Support shipping/receiving efforts to effectively meet the customer's requirements
Support inventory report requirements on a quarterly and annual basis, including any ad hoc requests from the customer
Performs other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities will include key duties, as well as excellent communication with coworkers and management; consistent, timely performance for all deliverable activities assigned; adherence to safe warehouse and laboratory practices, as directed; maintaining a strong teamwork mentality, with the ability to adapt to a rapid work environment with multiple projects on-going at a time; and a responsive attitude toward all other duties assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
