Who We Are

Balyo is a world-wide leader in Autonomous Guide Vehicles (AGV’s) for industrial material handling. We’ve grown from our start-up days, but retain our start-up culture and mentality to move fast and deliver innovative technological and operational solutions to our customers. With headquarters in Paris and satellite offices in Singapore, China, and Woburn, MA, USA, we are able to deliver and install robots in almost every market around the world.

We're talking SLAM navigation, 3D cameras, LiDAR, world records (yep, literally: 1-ton loads at 17 meters high). And we’re hungry for more.

The US Team

Our American team is made up of nearly 40 Balyo employees, including sales managers, engineers, project managers, and operations specialists.

While we work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, we're backed by a solid and experienced local team that supports each other and works closely to deliver high-impact robotic solutions across the country.

Join BALYO and help shape the future of intralogistics with autonomous mobile robots.

In this client-facing and highly cross-functional role, you will be fully responsible for the execution of robotic deployment projects, from purchase order to final acceptance. You'll lead the operational coordination, manage risks, supervise installation, and ensure we hit all project targets: quality, safety, timeline, and margin.

You’ll manage 3 to 5 concurrent projects, depending on size and complexity, and collaborate daily with engineering, manufacturing, service, and customer stakeholders.

Your Core Responsibilities

You will own your projects 360° and:

Define, manage, and mitigate project risks using BALYO’s internal tools and "lessons learned" feedback
Create and maintain master project schedules and detailed work package plans
Prepare, update, and validate customer specifications aligned with BALYO standards
Coordinate with all internal stakeholders (R&D, Ops, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing) to ensure smooth execution
Manage on-site and off-site commissioning, including system testing and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Lead the Field Engineers assigned to your projects: organize priorities, optimize travel, monitor execution
Ensure financial control: track project budgets, revenue recognition, gross margin, and cash collection
Handle project deviations and prepare Change Requests when scope, cost or planning needs adjustment
Maintain excellent customer relationships and ensure satisfaction from kick-off to closure
Document and escalate key learnings and blockers to help improve BALYO’s internal processes
Drive continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and helping us scale better

What We’re Looking For

We need a project leader who combines technical fluency, structured thinking, and emotional intelligence:

5+ years of experience in project management, including customer-facing deployment in industrial environments
3+ years of experience in a technical role: robotics, embedded software, automation, mechanical, or systems engineering
Technical skills across mechanics, electronics, and/or industrial software development
Comfortable in a matrix organization and able to influence across departments and cultures
Excellent communicator, fluent in English (written and verbal); French is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data-oriented mindset
Self-starter who takes ownership, proposes solutions, and drives alignment
Comfortable, challenging and improving internal processes when needed
Willing to travel up to 25% across North America (and beyond if needed)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
