We're seeking a Senior Payroll Technology & Governance Analyst to serve as the operational expert between payroll operations, HRIS, and external payroll providers. This is an opportunity to lead payroll governance initiatives, validate payroll accuracy, improve vendor performance, and support enterprise payroll technology in a highly collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Lead payroll validation and governance efforts.

Job Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and payroll experience considered
- CPP certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the operational liaison between payroll operations and payroll vendor.
- Manage vendor performance, accountability, and service delivery.
- Validate payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, taxes, and net pay.
- Perform manual payroll calculations to verify system accuracy.
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and determine root cause.
- Support payroll testing, upgrades, implementations, and UAT.
- Validate payroll system configurations before deployment.
- Coordinate with HR, HRIS, Finance, Payroll Tax, and vendors.
- Support multi-state and Canadian payroll processes.
- Validate year-end payroll reporting including W-2, W-2C, and T-4.
- Identify operational improvements and vendor process enhancements.
- Provide payroll expertise to internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of payroll experience.
- Experience managing outsourced payroll vendors.
- Multi-state payroll experience.
- Exposure to Canadian payroll.
- Strong payroll calculations knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with enterprise payroll systems (UKG, SAP, ADP, Workday, etc.).
- Experience performing payroll reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
