Full Job Description

Senior Program Manager (Business Continuity Management)

Location: 100% Remote (Approved States)
Pay Rate: $60.00/hr
Duration: 6-Month Contract (No Extension or Conversion Expected)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Local Time (Must be flexible supporting Pacific, Central, and Eastern time zones)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Program Manager to support Business Continuity Management, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Physical Security initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This individual will serve as a trusted partner and right hand to executive leadership, driving strategic resilience planning, contingency development, and operational preparedness across critical business functions.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, and Third-Party Resilience programs. This role requires strong executive presence, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to independently facilitate strategic initiatives with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement 20+ comprehensive contingency plans addressing critical vendor and operational risks
Facilitate strategic workshops with SVPs, VPs, Directors, and other executive stakeholders to develop contingency strategies across People, Process, and Technology
Document internal and external contingency plans to ensure organizational preparedness and consistency
Identify dependencies and establish timelines for external recovery strategies requiring vendor partnerships, RFPs, or contractual agreements
Develop detailed recovery plans including recovery teams, responsibilities, activation procedures, communication protocols, compliance requirements, and supporting documentation
Conduct tabletop exercises and simulations to validate contingency plans and identify improvement opportunities
Track action items and remediation efforts resulting from exercises and risk assessments
Provide executive-level reporting on project status, risks, issues, and escalations
Support broader business continuity, emergency response, crisis management, and resilience initiatives

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Business Continuity, Resilience, Contingency Planning, Third-Party Risk, or related consulting environments
Extensive experience creating enterprise-wide contingency and resilience plans
Experience working directly with C-Level Executives, Senior Vice Presidents, and Vice Presidents
Strong project and program management experience in large enterprise environments
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Proven ability to independently lead strategic initiatives and drive results
Experience conducting tabletop exercises, simulations, and business continuity testing

Required Certifications

Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
Certified Business Continuity Manager (CBCM)
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
Equivalent Business Continuity certifications may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

SharePoint development and administration experience
Physical Security program experience
Everbridge experience preferred
Experience implementing Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, or Emergency Response platforms
Experience with cloud-based Business Continuity solutions
Enterprise system integration experience related to resilience and recovery programs
