This analyst assists in the application of statistical and qualitative methods to optimize inventory settings, policies and practices. In addition, the person in this position has the opportunity to work with the organization to communicate and validate strategic inventory assortment and working capital objectives.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Apply statistical analysis and business knowledge to optimize inventory parameter setting.

Contribute to inventory management policies and processes and support implementation across locations.

Apply policies to determine and maintain store stock assortments.

Contribute to standards to track and monitor inventory results relative to objectives.

Coordinate with supply and demand planning to update key inventory parameters that drive the planning and execution systems.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 2 year related experience. A master's degree or equivalent is preferred.

Broad business acumen with a strong understanding of how inventory decisions impact sales, inventory attrition, working capital, and operating costs.

Thorough knowledge of inventory optimization principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Expert understanding of Supply Chain Management principles.

Ability to apply appropriate statistical methods to large and complex data sets.

Knowledge of multi-echelon inventory optimization concepts and the ability to evaluate optimization outputs and recommend improvements.

Understanding of lot-size optimization mathematical models and the ability to assess configuration results and suggest enhancements.

Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and process optimization experience.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Ability to coordinate work within a team environment and influence stakeholders.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Working knowledge of SAP ECC.

Working knowledge of SAP APO or comparable supply chain planning systems.

Experience configuring inventory optimization tool parameters such as SO99, i2, Manugistics, or similar applications.

Basic knowledge of statistical software packages such as SPSS, Minitab, or equivalent.
