Job Summary

We are looking for a sharp, quick-thinking individual based in Bozeman, MT, to join our team as an Accounting & Administrative Assistant. Because we are in a rapid growth phase and building our own custom software, the landscape of this role will shift and evolve. This is not a static 9-to-5 desk job, We are offering a hybrid role, with some office work and remote opportunity. You will be managing our bookkeeping, assisting day-to-day administration, and tackling a wide variety of tasks to support our technical operations. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys high-paced environments and wearing many hats, this is the right fit. This role starts as part-time with a flexible schedule and offers a clear opportunity to transition into a full-time position.

Primary Responsibilities -

Bookkeeping, Finance & Receivables: Manage company accounts, invoicing and financial records using QuickBooks. You must have a strong aptitude for numbers and a high attention to detail while maintaining accurate financial records.
Administrative Operations: Assist in daily administrative tasks, run errands, and support the management team in day-to-day operations. Help coordinate appointments and company meetings.
Tech-Forward Workflow: We are an AI-driven company. You must be comfortable utilizing AI tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Adaptability: As we develop custom software and scale our services, you will be expected to adjust to changing priorities and new systems quickly.

Radical Accountability: We set clear goals and expectations. You will be expected to own your tasks, hit your deadlines, and hold yourself accountable for the results.
Direct Communication: We prioritize clarity and speed. You should be comfortable with direct, transparent feedback and the fast-paced nature of a company that values execution over office politics.
The Weekly Rhythm: Every Monday, we conduct a planning meeting where priorities and action items are assigned. These tasks come with a one-week turnaround. You are expected to come prepared, execute your list, and report back on your progress.
Problem-Solving: We value people who "figure it out." When you encounter a roadblock, we want you to bring us potential solutions, not just the problem.

Technical Proficiency & Speed -

Computer Speed: You must be fast on a keyboard and comfortable navigating multiple software environments simultaneously. If you are the person who automates your own shortcuts, you’ll fit right in.
System Fluency: We build and use custom software. You must be able to switch between QuickBooks, internal platforms, and AI tools seamlessly.
Efficiency: We don't just work hard; we work smart. We expect you to be constantly looking for ways to use your computer skills to save time and increase your output.

Skills -

Proficiency in QuickBooks for bookkeeping and financial record keeping.
Strong office management skills with experience in clerical tasks and administrative support.
Excellent computer literacy in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar)
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.

Location: Must be based in or near Bozeman, MT as this is a hybrid role.
