Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supragingival Scaler & Certified Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care by performing thorough supragingival scaling procedures to promote optimal oral health. As a certified dental assistant, you will support clinical operations, ensure infection control compliance, and assist with a variety of dental procedures across general dentistry and specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience.

Duties

Perform supragingival scaling under Kansas regulations.
Assist doctors with a variety of dental procedures.
Take digital radiographs and intraoral photos.
Prepare and disinfect operatories.
Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Ensure patients have a comfortable, welcoming experience from start to finish.
Assist with charting and other clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications

Certified Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification recognized in the field.
Proven experience in supragingival scaling within a general or pediatric dentistry setting.
Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection prevention management.
Competence in taking dental x-rays
Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, dental terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies essential for accurate patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Excellent communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that fosters patient trust and team collaboration.
