Business Operations Manager

Part-Time Remote (United States)

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and resourceful Business Operations Manager to own the business operations of a small group of growing U.S. nonprofit and for-profit organizations.

Our organizations span the arts, manufacturing, consumer products, and business services. We are looking for someone who enjoys building systems, solving practical problems, and taking genuine ownership of important operational responsibilities.

This is a long-term part-time position (approximately 5–10 hours per week initially) with the potential to grow over time as our organizations continue to expand.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day business operations across multiple organizations
Pay invoices and manage routine financial administration
Maintain corporate records, recurring filings, and compliance calendars
Coordinate with accountants, attorneys, banks, insurance providers, and other professional advisors
Organize contracts and important business records
Identify and evaluate vendors and service providers
Obtain and compare vendor and freight quotes
Coordinate purchasing, inventory replenishment, freight, and logistics
Help oversee operational projects, including hiring support and implementation of new systems
Build organized systems, trackers, and workflows that improve efficiency
Identify operational issues proactively and ensure they are resolved

Qualifications

Exercises sound judgment and practical problem-solving ability
Communicates professionally and effectively
Enjoys building systems and improving processes
Consistently follows through on commitments

Experience in business operations, manufacturing, distribution, procurement, supply chain, corporate administration, nonprofit administration, accounting, compliance, or project management is highly desirable.
