Full Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Service team to ensure exceptional customer experiences and operational excellence.
Manage daily workflow, staffing, and customer service priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Oversee incoming customer calls, order entry accuracy, credits/refunds, order tracking, and issue resolution.
Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently via phone, email, and internet platforms.
Identify customer needs and implement solutions that strengthen customer relationships and improve retention.
Partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives to support account growth, customer satisfaction, and achievement of company goals.
Monitor team performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance service levels and productivity.
Train and mentor team members on systems, procedures, and customer service best practices.
Ensure adherence to company policies, service standards, and operational procedures.
Foster a collaborative, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of customer service experience, preferably in foodservice distribution, hospitality, or related industry.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and situations simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to remain customer-focused and solutions-oriented in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and order management/customer service systems.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, vendors, and business partners.
Team-oriented with a professional and cooperative attitude.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
